OMG Okay… I still can’t believe we get to say this.

Our Hydra repair moisturiser has officially been named a Finalist in the 2026 Clean + Conscious Awards 2026 in the oily/Acne skin category and honestly, this one means so much really!

When i created Hydra Repair, the goal was never to make a “trendy” moisturiser. I wanted to create something that actually supports acne-prone, stressed, irritated skin without feeling heavy, greasy, or overwhelming.

So being recognised in an awards program that celebrates conscious ingredients, transparency, sustainability, and product integrity feels incredibly special.

Clean Ingredients, But Still Actually Effective

If you’ve ever had acne-prone skin, you probably know the struggle of choosing between products that are “clean” but do nothing… or products that work but completely destroy your skin barrier.

Yuka analyses cosmetic ingredients and gives products a rating based on ingredient safety and overall formulation quality, so receiving a high score was a huge moment for us. I believe its super important to understand what goes onto your skin.

Ceramides — Barrier Support Essentials

Ceramides NP, AP, & EOP are naturally found in the skin and play a huge role in keeping your skin barrier strong and healthy, and we use three different types.

When your barrier becomes damaged, skin can feel dry, irritated, sensitive, and more breakout-prone. Ceramides help lock in hydration and support barrier repair, helping your skin feel calmer, smoother, and more resilient.

Jojoba Oil — Lightweight Nourishment

Jojoba Oil is known for being lightweight and skin-compatible, making it ideal for acne-prone skin types that still need nourishment.

It helps soften and hydrate the skin without leaving behind that heavy, greasy feeling while supporting overall skin balance.

Glycerin — Hydration Magnet

Glycerin is one of those underrated ingredients your skin absolutely loves.

It works by drawing hydration into the skin to help keep it soft, plump, and hydrated. Proper hydration is so important for breakout-prone skin because dehydrated skin can often become more irritated and produce excess oil.

Vitamin B5 — Calm + Hydrate

Vitamin B5 (Panthenol) is amazing for soothing stressed, irritated skin.

It helps support skin healing, improve hydration levels, and reduce feelings of dryness and sensitivity, making it perfect for compromised or acne-prone skin barriers.

Vitamin B3 — The Multi-Tasker

Vitamin B3 (Niacinamide) is one of my favourite ingredients especially for breakout-prone skin.

It helps support oil balance, strengthen the skin barrier, improve uneven skin tone, and calm visible redness — all while being gentle enough for sensitive skin types.

Vitamin E — Antioxidant Protection

Vitamin E helps nourish and protect the skin from environmental stress while supporting the skin barrier.

It also works beautifully alongside the other hydrating and barrier-supporting ingredients in the formula to leave skin feeling softer and healthier.

Prebiotics such as, Inulin + Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide — Microbiome Support

Our formula also contains microbiome-friendly prebiotics including Inulin and Alpha-Glucan Oligosaccharide.

These ingredients help support the skin’s natural microbiome — aka the good bacteria your skin actually needs to stay balanced and healthy.

When your microbiome is supported, skin often feels calmer, less reactive, and more resilient overall.

Lightweight Hydration Without the Greasy Feel

“I want hydration… but I hate thick moisturisers.”

Hydra Repair was designed to feel lightweight while still giving your skin the hydration and barrier support it needs. The end result is a beautiful matt finish and perfect for under makeup. Dehydrated skin can actually trigger more oiliness, irritation, and breakouts.

The goal is skin that feels calm, hydrated, balanced, and comfortable — not sticky or overloaded.

I am honestly just so grateful I worked so hard to brig amazing products to life to be shared and enjoyed by everyone so being recognised as a finalist in the Clean + Conscious Awards 2026 honestly feels super special! I really worked so hard to create something I am proud of and that people will just love!

Bounsi started with a mission to make acne skincare feel less overwhelming and more supportive. To create products that are backed by skin science but still feel simple, approachable, and realistic for everyday life.

So this recognition feels really special.
